Professor Rodolphe Maheux, Dr Felipe Jofré and Professor Aydin Arici in Buenos Aires
1st Argentinean Endometriosis Congress

At the 1st Argentinean Endometriosis Congress in Buenos Aires in September 2006, the Argentinean Endometriosis Society thanked WES president, Rodolphe Maheux, and Yale professor, Aydin Arici, by making them honorary members of their Society. Earlier in 2006 Drs Felipe Jofre and Edgardo Rollo played hosts to WES secretary general, Lone Hummelshøj, who was also presented with an honorary membership.

2nd Hellenic Endometriosis Congress

The emerging Hellenic Endometriosis Society also chose to honour Professors Maheux and Arici with memberships of their Society. This was another meeting, with a very high professional calibre, which demonstrated that progress is being made in our field – at national level, and by international collaboration.

Earlier this year, Drs Mauricio Abrao and Carlos Petta put on an excellent Brazilian endometriosis meeting (see the 2nd Quarter e-Journal for a summary of this meeting), and in August the WES was represented again at the 2nd Nordic Endometriosis Congress, held in Denmark.

The World Endometriosis Society encourages and values this collaboration! Please let us know if we can ever be of assistance!
